ARLINGTON, Texas --- Keiori "Ari" Lee, a 5-10 guard from Moberly Area Community College, has officially signed to become the latest member of the UT Arlington women's basketball recruiting class.
Lee spent the past three seasons with the Greyhounds, a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I school in Moberly, Mo. In her third season this past year, she started 26 of 32 games while averaging 11.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.4 steals and nearly one block per game while leading her team to a Region XVI tournament championship, a 29-4 overall record and a second-round appearance in the NJCAA Tournament.
"Keiori brings length and competitiveness on the perimeter for us," UTA head coach
Shereka Wright said. "She will be able to score on all three levels and be an active defender. She comes from a winning culture at Moberly CC and that will translate here for us on and off the court. She will make others around her better because she has a great work ethic."
Lee finished the season with 20 double-digit scoring efforts on the season, including 15 points in her final collegiate game, while also producing four with 20-or-more. On Nov. 22 against Marshalltown, she tallied a season-high 23 points and shot .374 from long distance on the season.
