INSIDE THE LINEUP
- Freshman Madison Le is one of two Mavericks that have competed in every single tournament this season and currently holds a 76.67 scoring average - the best on the team. Le tabbed her best finish so far this year as she tied for 7th place back at the Islander Classic in Corpus Christi (Feb. 20-21) with rounds of 73-79-83. She is the only player on the UTA squad to have three rounds of even-par.
- Hannah Choi is the other Mav, along with Le, that has played in all eight events of the 2022-23 season with an average score of 79.83. The senior's best performance came from the Islander Classic where she tied for 13th. Last time out, Choi put up rounds of 78-76-85 at the Bama Beach Bash in Gulf Shores.
- Freshman Kamri Gabel will be making her sixth appearance in head coach Catherine Matranga's lineup this season. The Texas native's low round of 73 has come from the first fall event at the USA Intercollegiate. Gabel turned in her best finish in Corpus Christi in late February with a T-25 finish.
- Graduate student Connor Howard looks to play in her second spring event and seventh overall this season. Howard sits on an 80.11 scoring average as her best finish was in the Little Rock Golf Classic (Oct. 17-18) last fall where she posted three straight rounds of 76. A final-round 73 at the Bama Beach Bash three weeks ago marked a new low round for Howard this year.
- Coming off a tough outing in Gulf Shores a few weeks ago, freshman Ana Rodriguez heads into the ORU Spring Invitational with a 79.57 scoring average. Rodriguez's best finish so far this season came back at Sam Houston's Bearkat Invitational where she tied for 36th place.
- Emilynn Tran will be competing in her second event of the spring, first as an individual, after transferring to UTA just in time for the spring semester. The freshman turned in rounds of 89-82-84 back in Houston Christian's Husky Invitational in March.
