MCKINNEY, Texas – The UT Arlington women's golf season came to a close with the final round of the 2026 Western Athletic Conference Women's Golf Tournament. The Mavericks finished in third place, 15 strokes behind tournament winner Tarleton State.

UTA improved its score in all three rounds of the tournament. The Mavericks posted the second-best team score of the final round, a 9-over-par 297. UTA finished the tournament with a 40-over 904.

After slipping in the standings on day two, Nitisha Manikandesh rebounded in a major way, carding a 1-under 71 in the third round that included a bogey-free, 1-under 35 on the front nine. The senior was the only individual player below par on the tournament's final day and the third-round 71 was one of just six rounds across the entire tournament below par.

Manikandesh rose to an individual fourth-place finish with a 4-over 220 overall. The senior finished three back of Tarleton State's Louise Depadt — the tournament winner — and one back of Tarleton's Lou Deltombe and Abilene Christian's Maddi Kamas who both tied for second place.

Not far behind Manikandesh is Tarini Bhoga who finished the tournament in seventh with an 8-over 224. The sophomore shot a 4-over 76, highlighted by a 1-over 37 on the front nine.

The Mavericks second best round of the day belonged to Kamri Gabel, whose even-par 72 slingshot her 10 spots up the leaderboard and into a tie for 18th. The senior heated up on the back nine, birdieing three times and going 2-under on her final four holes.

Gabel improved her score dramatically in each round, completing her second round in three less strokes than her first before making a six-stroke improvement in the third. 

Finishing two strokes behind Gabel is Chandler Browning. The redshirt senior finished with a 6-over 78 in the final round, making par on eight holes on the front nine. Browning finished alone in 20th with a 17-over 233.

Nirjara Gulhane capped off UTA's lineup, ending with a round of an 8-over 80. The junior finished tied for 27th with a 22-over 238.
