ARLINGTON, TEXAS - The Western Athletic Conference announced its weekly award honors with a trio of Mavericks claiming the honors, league officials announced today.
Brianna Ford claimed Player of the Week,
Mollie Blank earned Setter of the Week while
Samantha Glenn won Libero of the week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
It is the fifth time the graduate from Amarillo, Texas has claimed the award.
Ford dominated the offensive end of the court with 45 kills in nine sets, averaging five kills per set behind a .399 hitting percentage. Additionally, the graduate poured in 10 total blocks and 16 digs in the first two matchups of conference play.
SETTER OF THE WEEK
Blank claimed the Setter of the Week award for the third time in her career behind a strong start to conference play this season.
The native of Mansfield, Texas put together 101 assists in two matches last week. The graduate also poured in three service aces, three total blocks and 18 digs
LIBERO OF THE WEEK
Glenn claimed her first libero of the week award with stellar outings throughout the first week of conference play. The sophomore put together 37 digs, nine assists and three service aces while making highlight-worthy saves throughout the game against the Lancers last Saturday.
