Mavs Volleyball Eyes Perfect Conference Record With Final Match Against Utah Tech

ST. GEORGE, UTAH - The Western Athletic Conference regular season title UT Arlington volleyball team (25-2, 15-0 WAC) face off against the Utah Tech Trailblazers (15-10, 9-6 WAC) at the Burns Arena on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. CT. for the final game of the regular season.
 
With a win, the Mavs have a chance to secure its first undefeated record in conference play since 1992, when the Mavs went 9-0 in conference play. It would be the eleventh time in program history the team went undefeated in conference play.

MATCH NOTES
  • The Mavs are off to a 25-2 start, including 16 sweeps, and have the best record in the Western Athletic Conference. Additionally, the Mavs are on a sixteen-game win streak. 
  • Paige Reagor holds a hitting percentage of .422 which not only leads the Western Athletic Conference, but also ranks 12th in the nation.
  • Brianna Ford continues to lead the conference in kills per set with a mark of 4.39, which also ranks 22nd in the NCAA. Ford also leads the conference in points per set with a 5.25 clip, which ranks her 13th in the nation. Ford, who has 404 kills so far this season, is currently third all-time in program history with 1,689 kills, and is 40 kills away from being tied with Ana de Oliveira for the second most in UT Arlington history. 
  • Mollie Blank ranks first in the conference in assists per set with a strong mark of 10.66, which also ranks 21st in the country. Blank currently ranks eighth in the program record book with 3,332 assists throughout her career.
  • As a team, the Mavericks lead the conference in hitting percentage (.281), assists per set (12.74), kills per set (13.77) and have held teams to a .157 hitting percentage.
  • The Mavericks are one of three teams in the country with at least 25 wins. Additionally, the Mavs hold the 6th highest winning percentage in the nation with a.926 mark.
  • Samantha Glenn has put together 360 digs throughout the season for a mark of 3.82 digs per set, which ranks her sixth in the conference.

The first-seeded Mavs begin the 2024 WAC volleyball tournament with a matchup on Thursday Nov. 21 against the number eight seed at 7 p.m. CT. at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
