Blank's Near Triple-Double Powers Mavs Past CBU To Extend Win Streak To Twelve

ARLINGTON, TEXAS – Mollie Blank came one kill shy of the program's first triple double in 14 years as the UT Arlington volleyball team (21-2,11-0 WAC) continued to roll through conference play with a 3-1 victory (25-17, 18-25, 25-18, 25-19) over the California Baptist Lancers (4-20, 4-8 WAC) this Saturday to remain unbeaten in Western Athletic Conference play. Additionally, the Mavs increased their win streak to 12 games and remain unbeaten at the College Park Center this season at 9-0.

In the win, the Mavs put together an all-around strong effort with 67 digs and 63 kills behind a .438 kill percentage throughout the match. Sjakkie Donkers led the team with 21 kills, a career high, while Paige Reagor racked in 12 kills. Cansu Günaydin and Brianna Ford pitched in 10 kills a piece.

In the win, Blank put together a near-triple double with 43 assists, 16 digs and nine kills to fall just short of the program's first triple-double since Nov. 4, 2010 when Bianca Sauls did so against Southeastern Louisiana.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH
"Excellent team win," said head coach J.T. Wenger. "Sjakkie really executed at a high clip and Mollie really had herself an excellent performance on both sides of the net. Proud of this team for fighting back and executing the gameplan after dropping the second set."

NEXT UP
The Mavs will make a quick turnaround to face off against the Abilene Christian Wildcats (8-14, 3-8 WAC) on Monday, Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m. CT at the College Park Center for Candy Night.
