ARLINGTON, TEXAS - The Western Athletic Conference leading UT Arlington volleyball team (22-2, 12-0 WAC) face off against the Utah Valley Wolverines (17-8, 8-5 WAC) at the College Park Center on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT. for senior day.
With a victory, the Mavs can clinch at least a share of the WAC regular season title and clinch the number one seed of the WAC Volleyball Tournament later this month, Nov. 21-23, at the College Park Center.
MATCH NOTES
- The Mavs are off to a 22-2 start, including 15 sweeps, and have the best record in the Western Athletic Conference. Additionally, the Mavs are on a thirteen-game win streak.
- Paige Reagor holds a hitting percentage of .418 which not only leads the Western Athletic Conference, but also ranks 14th in the nation.
- Brianna Ford continues to lead the conference in kills per set with a mark of 4.45, which also ranks 17th in the NCAA. Ford also leads the conference in points per set with a 5.27 clip, which ranks her 13th in the nation. Ford, who has 365 kills so far this season, is currently third all-time in program history with 1,650 kills, and is 79 kills away from being tied with Ana de Oliveira for the second most in UT Arlington history.
- Mollie Blank ranks first in the conference in assists per set with a strong mark of 10.61, which also ranks 18th in the country. Blank currently ranks eighth in the program record book with 3,254 assists throughout her career.
- As a team, the Mavericks lead the conference in hitting percentage (.275), assists per set (12.82), kills per set (13.80) and have held teams to a .156 hitting percentage.
- The Mavericks are one of seven teams in the country with at least 22 wins.
- Samantha Glenn has put together 319 digs throughout the season for a mark of 3.80 digs per set, which ranks her sixth in the conference.
