KANSAS CITY, Missouri - Former UT Arlington men's golfer Tanner Gore posted his best career finish in the Korn Ferry Tour's AdventHealth Championship at Blue Hills Country Club.
Gore, who played his way into this week's event after qualifying this past Monday, posted all four rounds in the 60s in shooting 19-under par 269 to tie for first place before losing on the first hole of the playoff.
Gore nearly won in regulation, but just missed a 29-foot birdie attempt on the 72
nd hole.
The former Maverick who played at UTA from 2015-19, Gore posted rounds of 68, 65, 67, and 69. He played his way into first place on Saturday with a birdie-eagle-birdie finish to take a two-shot lead into the final round. Gore's best round of the week came on Friday with a bogey-free seven-under par 65.
Gore played for the Mavs from 2015-19, earning second-team Sun Belt Conference honors as a sophomore, and ranking in the Top 10 in scoring average in school history when his career ended.
