LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The UT Arlington women's golf team opened competition at the Golf Iconic Classic from the New Mexico State Golf Course with senior
Kamri Gabel leading the charge at one under par and sophomore
Tarini Bhoga finishing round one at even.
Gabel led the way for the Mavericks, shooting one under par in round one. She knocked down four birdies, 11 pars and three bogeys to finish with a score of 71 on the day. Bhoga finished an even par through round one. She had four birdies, 10 pars and four bogeys to finish with a score of 72 on the day.
As a team, the Mavs are tied with Jacksonville State for 13th overall with a round one score of 295.
