LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The UT Arlington women's golf team completed the second round of the Golf Iconic Classic on Tuesday from the New Mexico State Golf Course.
Tarini Bhoga made the biggest leap for the Mavericks, jumping up seven spots in the individual standings and now sitting in 25th overall after shooting one under par on the day. Bhoga knocked down four birdies to go along with 11 pars and three bogeys. After finishing round one an even par, she now sits one under par after rounds of 72-71.
Kamri Gabel finished two over par for the day after knocking down four birdies to go along with nine pars, four bogeys and one double bogey. Gabel now sits 37th overall in the individual standings, sitting one shot above par after turning in rounds of 71-74.
Salome Arango Marin made the largest leap in the individual standings for the Mavs in round two, jumping up eight spots after finishing two over par on the day. She's turned in rounds of 77-74.
Nitisha Manikandesh also made a jump in the individual standings, moving up six spots after finishing round two three over par. She's clocked in rounds of 77-75.
As a team, the Mavs fell down two spots despite knocking a stroke off their round one total, finishing round two six over par, and now sit alone in 15th place overall.
The final round is on deck for UTA tomorrow, Oct. 15, with a tee time of 9:30 a.m. CT. Live scoring is available here via
