ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington women's basketball team returns to action this Tuesday, Nov. 11, when they welcome Wyoming to the College Park Center for a 6:30 p.m. CT tipoff.
The Lady Mavs are looking to pick up their first win of the 2025-26 campaign in game two of a three game homestand.
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the third all-time meeting between the two programs and first time since 1990. The all-time series is tied at one game apiece, with both getting wins on the road. ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF
True freshman
Kira Reynolds made a splash in her collegiate debut, garnering her first career double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds. This is the best start to a career in program history in recent memory. She followed up her collegiate debut with a 10 point, eight rebound and six blocks showing at home against Missouri State. Her one double-double is tied for the second best mark in the WAC and 18th nationally.
BENCH MOB
The Lady Mavs boast one of the best benches in not only the WAC, but the country as a whole in the early part of the season. UTA's bench averages 38 points per contest, the best mark in the league and the 36th best in the nation.
STILL THROWING A BLOCK PARTY
The Lady Mavs were one of the better shot blocking teams in the WAC last season and that is still setting up to be the trend this season as UTA averages seven blocks per game, tied for the best mark in the conference and 18th nationally. Freshman
Kira Reynolds leads the charge for the Lady Mavs, averaging 3.5 blocks per game, the 14th best mark nationally and second in the conference.
Amiyah Reynolds averages 1.5 blocks per game while
Alexsyah Goudeau averages one block per game which has them both in the top 10 within the WAC.
HOME SWEET HOME
The Lady Mavs are an impressive 43-19 at home in
Shereka Wright's tenure at the College Park Center, where they will play three of their first four games this season and 13 overall. Coach Wright has never had a losing record at home and went an astounding 12-1 last season which is the best winning percentage (.923) for the Lady Mavs at home since moving into the CPC back in 2012.
The Lady Mavs claimed their 100th victory inside the friendly confines of the CPC last season on Jan. 20, 2024 with a victory over Abilene Christian. UTA sports a 115-70 overall record inside the CPC after their first home game of the 2025-26 season. The Lady Mavs seem to be at their best when playing in front of the home fans.
