ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington women's basketball team wraps up their three-game homestand when they welcome Tennessee State to the College Park Center on Friday, Nov. 13, for a 5 p.m. CT tipoff.

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the first ever meeting between the Lady Mavs and Lady Tigers, whom are both led by former WNBA players in Shereka Wright for UTA and Candice Dupree for TSU.

SCOUTING TENNESSEE STATE
The Lady Tigers are looking for their first win of the 2025-26 campaign and are coming off a 122-39 loss at TCU. They played Middle Tennessee State (53-59) and Wright State (80-85) close. TSU is led by Aaniya Webb (10.7 ppg) and Xai Whitfield (10.3 ppg). Kiki Roberts leads the Lady Tigers on the boards, averaging 7.3 rebounds per game. Through three games, TSU shoots 34.9-percent from the floor while opponents are shooting 49.7-percent from the field. TSU is shooting 28.8-percent from deep while opponents are shooting 47.7-percent from beyond the arc on the season.

WE GOT SHOOTERS
The Lady Mavs are one of the better shooting three-point teams in the conference despite taking the least amount of attempts, averaging a league-low 10.7 attempts per game. Despite the amount, the Lady Mavs lead the league in three-point percentage, converting 43.8-percent of their attempts, leading the WAC and coming in ranked 12th in the NCAA.

UTA is coming off one of their best three-point clinics in recent memory, drilling 10 of 15 attempts at home against Wyoming. It's the most made in a game since hitting 11 back on March 7, 2024 at California Baptist. The Lady Mavs on two occasions last season hit nine, once against Wiley and the other time coming on the road at Utah Tech.

WE DEFEND THE THREE-POINT LINE ALSO!
The Lady Mavs defend the three-point shot extremely well, holding opponents to 18.4-percent through three games on the season. This is the top mark in the conference and the 20th best mark in the nation.

UTA held Wyoming and Houston to under 20-percent. Last time out against Wyoming, the Lady Mavs held the Cowgirls to  15.4-percent (2-of-13) to start the year at Houston, UTA held the Cougars to just 7.1-percent (1-of-14). In the home opener against Missouri State, the Lady Mavs held them to shooting 36.4-percent (4-of-11) from deep.

SWISS ARMY KNIFE
True freshman Kira Reynolds has made her presence for the Lady Mavs not only known throughout the league, but putting the whole nation on notice. Through three games, she leads the Lady Mavs in points and rebounds, averaging a double-double with 13.0 ppg and 12.3 rpg. Her two double-doubles on the year have her tied for the league lead as well as for fifth nationally.

Her season field goal percentage of 60.0-percent is the third best mark in the WAC and the 79th best mark in the NCAA. When she gets to the free throw line, she's almost automatic as she's shooting 90.0-percent from the charity stripe, the second best mark in the conference.

Her 37 total rebounds are the third most in the league and 15th most in the country. She's also third in the conference with her 12.3 rebounds per game which also has her 13th in the country. On the defensive end, she averages 9.3 defensive rebounds per contest which is the 13th best mark in the country and third best in the conference.

On the defensive side of the ball, she's a menace in blocking shots. Her 12 total blocks is the second best mark in the WAC and is the fifth best mark in the NCAA. Her average of 4.0 blocks per game is also the second best mark in the league while it has her ranked third in the nation.

She made a splash in her collegiate debut, garnering her first career double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds. This is the best start to a career in program history in recent memory. She followed up her collegiate debut with a 10 point, eight rebound and six blocks showing at home against Missouri State. In just her third career game, she made her first career start and collected her second career double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds to go along with five blocks against the Cowgirls.

BENCH MOB
The Lady Mavs boast one of the best benches in the WAC, with the bench averaging an impressive 29.7 points per game which is the second best mark in the conference and the 94th best nationally.

STILL THROWING A BLOCK PARTY
The Lady Mavs were one of the better shot blocking teams in the WAC last season and that is still setting up to be the trend this season as UTA averages a shade under seven blocks per game, coming in at 6.7 per contest which is the third best mark in the WAC and the 22nd mark nationally.

Freshman Kira Reynolds leads the charge for the Lady Mavs, coming in with 12 total blocks for an average of four blocks per game.

A total of five of the 12 players on the roster have recorded a block on the season. As a team, the Lady Mavs have 20 blocked shots on the young season while opponents have only managed seven blocks against UTA.

WREAKING HAVOC
The Lady Mavs are forcing opponents into 19.33 turnovers per game in the early going of the season, the fourth best mark in the WAC.

A total of nine different Lady Mavs have recorded a steal in a game so far this season.

MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL
Through three games on the season, the Lady Mavs are shooting 40.0-percent from the field while opponents are also shooting 40.0-percent from the floor.

IF IT'S FREE, IT'S FOR US
Through three games on the season, the Lady Mavs are shooting 76.0-percent (38-of-50) from the free throw line while opponents are shooting 69.4-percent (50-of-72) from the charity stripe.

HOME SWEET HOME
The Lady Mavs are an impressive 44-19 at home in Shereka Wright's tenure at the College Park Center, where they will play three of their first four games this season and 13 overall. Coach Wright has never had a losing record at home and went an astounding 12-1 last season which is the best winning percentage (.923) for the Lady Mavs at home since moving into the CPC back in 2012.

The Lady Mavs claimed their 100th victory inside the friendly confines of the CPC last season on Jan. 20, 2024 with a victory over Abilene Christian. UTA sports a 116-70 overall record inside the CPC after picking up their first home victory of the 2025-26 season against the Cowgirls of Wyoming. The Lady Mavs seem to be at their best when playing in front of the home fans.
