OGDEN, Utah – The Mavericks (4-2) remain in the Beehive State for the second and final game of the Junction City Jam and are set to take on the Weber State Wildcats (2-3) on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 8 p.m. CT from the Dee Events Center in Ogden, Utah. Fans can watch the Mavs live on

UTA dropped a tough one in the tournament opener, falling 71-67 against Campbell despite leading for 32:50. Senior forward
Raysean Seamster led the way in scoring with 16 points and also grabbed seven boards, while sophomore big man
Cameron Jackson had a career day offensively, hitting 6-of-7 from the floor to score 15 points and also had eight rebounds.
The host Wildcats won 91-85 on Wednesday night against Campbell their last time out, ending a three-game skid.
Weber State is led by fourth-year head coach Eric Duft. He took the reins at at Weber State ahead of the 2022-23 season and has been on staff for the past 20 years and has been on the bench for over 600 Wildcat games. The Wildcats were 12-22 last season. Prior to his time in Ogden, Duft spent seven seasons at Hutchinson Junior College in Kansas as an assistant and spent one year at Cowley County Community College, also in Kansas. He was an assistant for three years at Central Community College before becoming the head coach for the 1997-98 season.
The Wildcats have five players who are averaging double figures in scoring. They are paced by sophomore G Trevor Hennig (16.0 ppg and 6.5 rpg), junior G Jace Whiting (13.8 ppg), junior G Tijan Saine, Jr. (10.8 ppg and 4.4 apg), junior G/F Viljami Vartiainen (10.6 ppg) and senior F/C Nigel Burris (10. 2 ppg and 7.2 rpg).
Saturday night's meeting between UTA and Weber State will be the third-ever between the two programs, with the series currently split at 1-1. Weber State won the only other meeting in Ogden, 72-70 on Feb. 18, 2012.
