LAIE, Hawaii – Kira Reynolds knocked down a buzzer-beating shot with just one second left on the clock to lead the UT Arlington women's basketball team over the Texas A&M Aggies 61-60 at the George Q. Cannon Activities Center on Monday.
The win gives the Lady Mavs their first victory over the Aggies since February of 1976 as well as their first win over an SEC opponent since defeating Ole Miss back in December 2006. It's also the Aggies first loss of the 2025-26 campaign.

Texas A&M then snagged a 57-52 advantage before UTA responded by going on a 5-0 run, finished off by Kali Haizlip's three, to even the score at 57 all with 4:20 to go in the contest. The Aggies would respond, going up by three to make it 60-57. The Lady Mavs managed a steal to get to the free throw line where Threatt would connect on both attempts to make it 60-59 in favor of the Aggies. UTA managed another steal with the full court pressure that would lead to Threatt getting back to the charity stripe.
