ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington women's basketball team (13-7, 8-1 WAC) close out their two game homestand on Saturday, Feb. 8, when they welcome Seattle U (3-18, 0-8 WAC) to the College Park Center. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m. central.

The Lady Mavs look to push their win streak to six games while keeping their perfect home record intact. UTA is 9-0 inside the friendly confines of the CPC and look to push it to 10-0 with three home games remaining on the season.
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the eighth overall meeting between the two programs with the Lady Mavs trailing by a game in the all-time series, 3-4. The Lady Mavs picked up the win in the first meeting this season, a 70-58 victory at Seattle. At the College Park Center, the Lady Mavs are 0-2 all-time versus the Redhawks. As conference opponents, the series record is tied at three games apiece, with the Redhawks picking up a victory over the Lady Mavs in the WAC Tournament back in 2023 to hold the one game edge in the all-time series. In the series, the Lady Mavs average 69.86 points per game.
SCOUTING SEATTLE U
The Redhawks carry a 3-18 overall record with an 0-8 conference record and are in the midst of dropping eight straight games. On the road, Seattle holds a 1-11 record. As a team, the Redhawks attempt 23.3 three pointers a game, the fourth highest mark in the league. while averaging 6.7 makes per contest which is the fifth best mark in the conference. The Redhawks average 57.0 points per game led by Candy Edokpaigbe who averages 9.8 points per game and Tamia Stricklin who averages 9.4 ppg. Christeina Bryan leads the team in rebounding, averaging 5.8 boards per contest.

Koi Love is solidifying herself as one of the top scorers in the Western Athletic Conference.
Through 20 games, Love is averaging 17.0 points per game, which is currently the second-best mark in the WAC and the 89th best mark in the nation as of Feb. 6. Love has put up 339 total points in the Lady Mavs' 20 games, which is second in the conference. She has made 143 field goals on the season, which is second in the WAC and 72nd in the NCAA while her 53.0 field goal percentage is the second-best mark in the WAC and 46th overall. She has six 20-point performances on the season.
ALL AROUND HOOPER
Avery Brittingham has proven time and time again that she is one of the premier players in this league. She has posted a league high 11 double doubles through 20 games which is 16th in the country. She nearly averages a double double for the season with 13.3 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per game.
Her 1.78 assist to turnover ratio is third in the conference and 96th in the country.
IF IT'S FREE, IT'S FOR ME
As a team, the Lady Mavs are one of the best teams in the nation in getting to the free throw line for the season, averaging a league high 22.55 free throw attempts per game which is the tenth best mark nationally. Their average of 15.80 free throws made per game is tops in the league and 16th nationally. Their 70.1 free throw percentage is the fifth best mark in the WAC.
Brittingham is third in the conference and 76th in the country with 111 free throw attempts while
Miraya Perkins' 79.1 free throw percentage is the second-best mark in the WAC.
DEFENSIVE INTENSITY
The Lady Mavs force 19.65 turnovers a game, the fourth best mark in the WAC and the 49th best mark in the NCAA.
Their 10.5 steals per contest are the fourth best mark in the conference and 44th in the country.
The Lady Mavs have the fourth best turnover margin in the WAC and the 77th best in the NCAA at 3.20.
Love's 50 steals are the sixth most in the WAC and 76th in the country. Her average of 2.50 steals per game is the third best mark in the conference and 43rd nationally. Brittingham's average of 1.85 steals per contest is the 12th best mark in the WAC.
The Lady Mavs have the fifth best scoring defense in the conference.
STILL THROWING A BLOCK PARTY
The Lady Mavs are still one of the better shot blocking teams in the WAC a year later after leading the league and having two of the top shot blockers in the conference a season ago. The Lady Mavs average 4.1 blocks per game, the best mark in the conference and 51st nationally. The Lady Mavs once again have two of the top 10 shot blockers in the WAC with Love averaging a block per game, tied for the sixth highest mark in the conference while Brittingham averages 0.90 per game the eighth highest mark in the conference.
UTA has posted at least one block in each of their 20 games, with 17 of those seeing the Lady Mavs with multiple blocked shots. Their best block performance as a team came against Arkansas when they had nine, the second most by a WAC team on the season and have two other games on the year where they posted seven apiece while having two six block performances also. The Lady Mavs posted their first six block game of conference play at home against Southern Utah. Through conference play, the Lady Mavs have 36 blocked shots, second most in that span behind California Baptist.
QUEENS OF THE BOARDS
The Lady Mavs are one of the top rebounding teams in the country, averaging a league leading 39.25 rebounds per game which is the 73rd best mark in the country. Offensively, UTA averages 13.2 which is fourth best in the WAC and 70th best in the NCAA. Defensively, their average of 26.1 is second in the WAC. The Lady Mavs own the fifth best rebound margin in the conference at 0.6.
Brittingham's 9.3 rebounds per game lead the conference and are 47th nationally while her 186 total rebounds are the second most in the WAC and 81st in the NCAA. Love's average of 7.0 rebounds per game is tied for the sixth best mark in the conference.
HIGH OCTANE OFFENSE
The Lady Mavs have the second-best scoring offense in the conference and 68th best in the country, averaging 73 points per game. Their 6.8 scoring margin in the fourth best mark in the WAC. The bench averages 21.9 points per game, the third best mark in the conference and 95th nationally. Their field goal percentage of 42 percent is the third best mark in the conference.
TAKING CARE OF THE ROCK
The Lady Mavs are one of the best in the conference when taking care of the basketball, averaging 16.5 turnovers per game which is the third best mark in the WAC.
THE FACILITATORS
The Lady Mavs are one of the top teams in the conference when it comes to dishing out assists, their 16.1 per game are the second most in the WAC and 53rd overall in the NCAA. Their 0.98 assist to turnover ratio is the second-best mark in the conference and 94th best in the NCAA.
Brittingham's 89 total assists lead the team and are the fifth most in conference while her average of 4.5 per game are the fourth best mark in the conference and 74th nationally. Love's 3.4 assists per contest is the seventh best mark in the league.
THE PRICE IS WRIGHT
Head coach
Shereka Wright overtook Samantha Morrow (2007-13) for the fifth most wins in school history with 75 after their then sixth conference win of the season over Southern Utah on Jan. 30, 2025. After the Lady Mavs win against Utah Valley, Wright now has 77 wins and trails Krista Gerlich (121), Donna Capps (119), Connie Kelch (117) and Mike Dean (115). Wright's .583 winning percentage is the best in program history.
HOME SWEET HOME
The Lady Mavs claimed their 100th victory inside the friendly confines of the College Park Center with a win over Abilene Christian back on Jan. 20, 2024. After their eighth conference win of the season over Utah Valley, the Lady Mavs now sport a 112-68 overall record and a perfect 9-0 record in 2024-25 at the CPC. UTA seems to be at their best when playing in front of the home crowd.
