PEORIA, IL --The UT Arlington volleyball team beat the Bradley Braves in five sets (19-25, 25-19, 25-22, 23-25, 15-12) Friday on the road at Renaissance Coliseum.
The non-conference win boosted the Mavericks' overall record to 2-0 on the season.
The Mavericks were led by a double-double from Jalie Tritt, who registered 15 kills and 12 digs on the day. Sophie Ocampo also added 13 kills to help the attack. On the defensive end, Samantha Glenn chipped in for with 13 digs to go with five blocks from Sophia Krichev.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Mavericks found themselves in an early hole, dropping a tough first set 25-19. UT Arlington trailed by as many as six points as Bradley grabbed the advantage for good at 16-15 in a set that was notted up three times before the Braves took over in the second half of the stanza.
SET 2 | UT Arlington evened the match at 1-1 with a 25-19 second-set win. The Mavericks took the set powered by a solid showing on the attacking side. UT Arlington registered a .367 attack percentage with 15 kills in the set win. The Mavericks ended on a strong note, stretching their lead to its largest point in the set to finish out the stanza. UT Arlington's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking four Bradley attacks in the stanza.
SET 3 | UT Arlington went ahead 2-1 in the match after taking down the Braves in set three. The Mavericks the set set three 25-22. UT Arlington trailed by as many as six points, but took the lead for good at 20-19 in a set that showcased three lead changes before the Mavericks took over in the second half of the stanza. The UT Arlington offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.
SET 4 | UT Arlington couldn't keep the win streak alive, as the Braves forced a fifth set with a 25-23 fourth-set win. Bradley grabbed the advantage for good at 18-17 and UT Arlington wasn't able to recover in a set that was knotted up six times before the Braves took over in the second half of the stanza.
SET 5 | UT Arlington took a two sets to one lead and fought off Bradley's rally attempt, which included a fourth set victory, to win the fifth set 15-12 and the match 3-2. The Mavericks took control of the set-five lead at 3-2 and held it the rest of the way. UT Arlington led by as many as six points at 10-4 before closing out the set. got a solid defensive performance from a front row that blocked four Bradley attacks in the stanza.
