The UT Arlington Mavericks (15-12, 7-8 WAC) kick off a season-ending three-game WAC road swing on Thursday night at California Baptist (19-8, 9-5 WAC) at 9 p.m. (CT). This the only game of the week for the Mavericks and the last out-of-state contest in the regular season. Currently, UTA holds down the No. 4 seed in the Western Athletic Conference Championship, which begins March 11. A win would get the Mavs back to .500 in conference play.
UTA has lost six of its last seven games after winning six of its previous seven tilts. CBU has dropped two straight after a nine-game winning streak. The teams split the two previous meetings this season, both played in Arlington. The Lancers are 12-0 at home this year.
Senior Marcell McCreary leads the Mavericks in scoring at 13.4 points per game and has scored in double figures in four straight games (14.3 points per game). Sophomore Cash Chavis has averaged 11.8Â points per game over that same span.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and will air live on the radio on the Varsity Network App with the Voice of the Mavs, Josh Sours, on the call.
