OREM, Utah – UT Arlington men's basketball (14-8, 6-4 WAC) remains on the road for the middle of a three-game road swing against Utah Valley (17-6, 7-3 WAC) on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT at Burns Arena. The game can be heard live on the Varsity Network App with Josh Sours on the call.
The Mavericks are coming off back-to-back overtime losses in which they overcame double-digit deficits to force additional time. It marks the first time since 2011 that UTA played overtime games in a span of less than seven days.
UTA was clipped by Utah Tech Thursday night, 87-84, in the 20th double-overtime game in school history. For the Mavs, forward
Raysean Seamster led the team with a game-high 25 points and pulled down a team-best 10 rebounds on Thursday to collect his second career double-double. Guard
Tyran Mason was just two shy of his career high with a 17-point effort.
The Mavs and Wolverines will be meeting for the 10th occasion all-time, with Utah Valley holding a slim 5-4 lead after an 86-74 home victory last month that was UVU's third straight win in the series. Utah Valley has won 23 consecutive home games, the fourth-longest winning streak in the NCAA.
