ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington freshman Kira Reynolds earned All-WAC Freshman Team honors, the conference announced Monday, capping a standout debut season for the Lady Mavs.
Reynolds emerged as one of the top newcomers in the conference during the 2025-26 campaign, leading UT Arlington in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots.
The South Bend, Indiana, native started 24 of 30 games and averaged 12.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.37 blocks per contest while shooting 44.8 percent from the floor. She finished the regular season with 378 points, 235 rebounds and 71 blocked shots.
She turned in seven double-doubles on the year and delivered a number of standout performances, including 22 points and 12 rebounds against Texas A&M, 22 points and 11 rebounds at Little Rock, and 20 points with 15 rebounds against Utah Tech. Reynolds' production and consistency helped make her one of the conference's most impactful freshmen and a key piece for the Lady Mavs all season long.
In conference play, Reynolds averaged 12.9 points and 7.4 rebounds across 18 WAC games, while her 2.37 blocked shots per game led the league in the WAC's regular-season report.
Her freshman season also placed her among the best shot blockers in program history. Reynolds' 71 blocks ranks fourth in school history for a single season and stand as the Lady Mavs' highest single-season blocks total since Shannon Spriggs recorded 84 in 1994-95.
With the honor, Reynolds becomes the second Lady Mav in the program's WAC era to earn All-WAC Freshman Team recognition, joining Kendal Robinson, who received the honor in 2025.
