Mavericks Head to Fort Worth for TCU Alumni Invite

FORT WORTH, Texas – The UT Arlington track & field team continues its outdoor season this weekend at the TCU Alumni Invite, set for Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21 in Fort Worth.
 
Competition will begin Friday morning at 9 a.m. CT with the men's discus, followed by the women's discus. The remainder of the day will feature a slate of field events including the men's and women's hammer and high jump.
 
Saturday's action will also begin at 9 a.m. with the women's and men's 5000m. Field events resume at 9:30 a.m., highlighted by the women's and men's shot put, long jump, pole vault, triple jump and javelin throw.
Running events throughout the day will include the men's and women's 4x100 relay, 1500m, 100m hurdles, 110m hurdles, 400m, 100m, 800m, 400m hurdles, 200m and 2000m steeplechase.

The meet will conclude with the 4x400m relays, with the women's race scheduled for 4:10 p.m. and the men's to follow at 4:30 p.m.

Along with UT Arlington and host TCU, teams scheduled to compete include Grambling, East Texas A&M, Huston-Tillotson, North Texas, UT Dallas, Baylor, Ball State, DBU, SMU, Arkansas Pine Bluff, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Garden State, LeTourneau, UT Tyler, Illinois Wesleyan, Nebraska Kearney, Paul Quinn and others.
