Nine Outdoor UTA Track & Field Student Athletes Selected to CSC Academic All-District

ARLINGTON, TEXAS – Nine Mavericks were named to the Outdoor Track & Field CSC Academic All-District Team, College Sports Communicators announced Tuesday afternoon.
  
 Jackson Cichon, Toby Eaton, Joey Haws and Christian Coker represented UTA on the men's side, while Emilia Mandl, Kayan Green, Justina Lusby, Simona Cabella and Sophia Allen represented the Maverick women selected for the honor.
 
Two Mansfield, Texas natives and distance runners were selected for the honor in Cichon and Eaton. Cichon, a graduate student, maintained a 3.71 GPA. Cichon is scheduled to earn his MBA in the Spring of 2027.
 
Eaton, a sophomore, earned a GPA of 3.52 while pursuing his bachelor's degree in accounting. He was the lone cross country athlete selected after finishing 28th at South Central Regionals.
 
Junior thrower and nursing major Haws was selected with a 3.52 GPA, while sophomore multis athlete Coker earned the honor with a 3.74 GPA as a civil engineering major.
 
On the women's side, sophomore accounting student Mandl posted a 3.61 GPA. The Malmo, Sweden native also claimed both the indoor and outdoor WAC titles in the 800-meter run.
 
Green, a graduate student, recorded a 3.70 GPA. The Clarendon, Jamaica native is pursuing her master's degree in criminal justice and will graduate in the fall of 2026. Lusby, an Arlington, Texas local, earned a 3.76 GPA while studying biology.
 
Two female pole vaulters also claimed spots on the list. Cabella, the senior art major, posted a GPA of 3.59, while Allen, a junior biology major maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA.

 To be eligible to be nominated to this team, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.50 GPA and be ranked in the Top 50 regionally for at least one event at the end of the season.
  
The 2025-2026 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes track & field honorees in four divisions (NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA).
