UTA Set for Split Weekend at Texas A&M and Baylor

COLLEGE STATION & WACO, Texas – The UT Arlington track & field team continues its outdoor season this weekend, traveling to compete in two meets.
 
UTA will send a group of athletes to participate in multi-events at the 44 Farms Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M, scheduled for Thursday, April 9 through Friday, April 10.
 
The remainder of the team will compete at the Baylor Invitational, a one-day meet set for Friday, April 10.
 
44 Farms Invitational: Thursday, April 9 – Friday, April 10 (College Station, Texas)
Competition will begin Thursday with the heptathlon starting at noon, with the women's 100m hurdles. The decathlon will begin shortly after at 12:30 p.m. with the 100m.
 
Thursday's events will conclude at 4:15 p.m. for the heptathlon, finishing with the women's 200m and at 5:15 p.m. for the decathlon, concluding with the men's 400m.
 
Friday will begin at 10 a.m., resuming the decathlon (starting with 110m hurdles), while the heptathlon will resume at 11:30 a.m. with the long jump. The last event of the heptathlon is the women's 800m at 2:30 p.m., while the last event of the decathlon is the men's 1500m, starting at 4 p.m.
 
Action resumes Friday at 10 a.m. with the decathlon (110m hurdles), while the heptathlon will resume at 11:30 a.m. with the long jump. The heptathlon will wrap up with the women's 800m at 2:30 p.m., while the decathlon concludes with the men's 1500m at 4 p.m.

Baylor Invitational: Friday, April 10 (Waco, Texas)
The day will start with field events, beginning with the men's hammer throw at 10 a.m. Field events will end with the women's discus and men's shot put, scheduled to start at 5 p.m. The other field events going on throughout the day included men's and women's javelin, high jump, long jump, pole vault and triple jump.

Track events will begin following the national anthem (1:55 p.m.), opening with the men's 3000m steeplechase, followed by the women's race. Other running events scheduled include the men's and women's 4x100-meter relay, 1500m, 100-meter hurdles, 400m, 100m, 800m, 400-meter hurdles, 200m and 3000m.
