ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington Men's Basketball Head Coach KT Turner has finalized his coaching staff for the 2026-27 season, assembling a veteran group of coaches with extensive experience at the collegiate, professional, and international levels to lead the next chapter of UTA men's basketball.
The coaching staff features returners Sean Stout, a longtime SMU administrator and former San Antonio Spurs front office member who brings a strong background in operations, recruiting, and player development; and Derrick Obasohan, a former Maverick standout, professional player, and Nigerian Olympian entering his third season as an assistant coach.
Jerrance Howard is the most recent addition to the coaching staff and is one of the nation's most respected recruiters with coaching stops at Arizona State, Kansas, Texas and Illinois; Wendell Moore, a veteran coach with more than 20 years of experience helping build winning programs across multiple levels of basketball; and B.J. Letcher, an accomplished player development specialist and successful head coach with deep ties to the grassroots and professional basketball communities.
Together, the group combines decades of coaching experience, championship success, elite recruiting credentials, and strong connections throughout the basketball landscape as the Mavericks continue building toward sustained success under Turner's leadership.
