Tyler Rice

Tyler Rice, a native of Mesa, AZ, will join the UT Arlington staff as an assistant coach after spending the previous season as the Director of Player Development during the 2025 season.

Prior to his time as a Director of Player Development, Rice served as a graduate assistant for UTA Baseball for the 2024 season.

"Tyler is a rising star in the coaching profession," head coach Mike Trapasso says. "He will represent UTA with class and pride as a coach, just as he did as a player."

Rice graduate from UT Arlington in 2023 after spending his four-year collegiate career donning the blue and orange. The Arizona native played in 150 games, making 107 starts, while picking up 90 hits and 39 RBI throughout his playing career.
