Rachael Morgan (previously Holmes) joined UTA Athletics in August of 2018 as the administrative assistant for men's and women’s basketball and volleyball.
As the assistant to three sports, Morgan is responsible for the sports’ budget, assists with recruiting travel and is the face of the program for visitors to the Coaches Suite.
Morgan previously worked for the Dallas Cowboys at their Headquarters in Frisco, Texas, where she helped manage memberships and reception at the Cowboys Club. Morgan acted as a liaison between facilities as she toured the Club with new members, and created a homely winning environment for players, family and members.
She also was a history teacher and coach for Frisco ISD and Wylie ISD in Abilene, Texas, from 2014-18. While at Wylie ISD, Morgan was a teacher’s aide for special education and assisted with 7th and 8th grade athletics. Once at Frisco ISD, she taught history and coached 8th grade athletics.
Morgan graduated from McMurry University in 2013 with a degree in Sociology and Psychology. Growing up, her father, Ron, was the head men’s basketball coach and Athletic Director for 25+ teams at McMurry, so naturally she gravitated towards sports. As she grew up, Morgan played basketball and golf from a young age through high school as a native of Abilene, Texas.
