Will Watkins enters his second season with the UT Arlington women's basketball team as the director of player development, a role he’s held since June 2023.
Prior to UTA, Watkins spent the past six months as the basketball analytics and video coordinator for the WNBA's Dallas Wings, where he also served a stint as a basketball operations assistant in the summer of 2021. In between those two tenures, he spent a year and a half with Wisconsin's women's basketball program as a video coordinator.
Watkins served as a graduate assistant with Eastern New Mexico University's women's basketball program in 2020-21 and worked with player development while serving as video coordinator at Texas A&M - Commerce in 2019-20.
On top of that, Watkins spent two and a half years as a front office intern with the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks from 2017-19.
Watkins earned a bachelor's degree in communication and media studies from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 2019.
