ARLINGTON, Texas...The University of Texas at Arlington's men's basketball team will host the inaugural Kings of the Court 3-on-3 Basketball Shootout May 3rd at J. Gilligan's Restaurant in Arlington. Competition will take place in three different divisions, and the winners of each division will compete for the coveted Tournament Champion title and the 400 dollar cash prize.

Divisions of play include the Fraternity Division, open to members of UTA fraternities; the Couch Potato Division, open to teams of players 35 years or older, non-competitive teams and youth teams; and the Top Gun/Open Division, which is for the most competitive teams. Winners of each division will receive prizes and awards, and will move on to the tournament championship round.

All entry forms must be received by UTA no later than Wednesday, April 30. Teams need to be at J. Gilligan's to register by 8 a.m. on May 3, and pool play begins at 10 a.m. The entry fee is 80 dollars per team, and is a donation to the UTA basketball team. No UTA player, coach of staff member will receive any money from this event.
