FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Fifteen members of the UTA indoor track and field team are at the Bud Walton Center for the Tyson Invitational, the final tune up meet before the Southland Conference Indoor Track Championships in Houston.

In the men's division, junior Kelley Jackson will look to continue his dominance in the weight events. Jackson will compete in the 35-pound weight throw. He has won the events in all three indoor meets this season, including a season-best 59-02.00 which is less than one meter from the NCAA provisional-qualifying standard.

Sprinters Jared Connaughton and Glenn Taylor will look for their first wins of the indoor season in the 60 meters. Prelims are scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.
Hurdlers Adam Stafford, Jon McDowell and Paul Whitty are scheduled to compete in the 60-meter hurdles. Davis Tagi, the winner at the J.D. Martin Invitational last weekend, will run in the 800 meters. Miler Jacob Cedertun runs at 4:45 p.m.
Assisstant coach Mishael Bertrand, who advanced to the U.S. Nationals semifinals in the 800 meters last summer, will compete in the women's 800 meters unattached.
