AUSTIN - As the weekend of play comes to an end, the 2007 ITA South Central Regionals has reached its quarterfinal rounds in both doubles and singles. Play continues tomorrow, Oct. 22, at 8:30 a.m. at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
UT Arlington's final main draw singles player Dmitry Minkin fell 6-3, 6-2 to Baylor's hard-hitting No. 5 seed Dominik Mueller. The Mavs struggled in the consolation bracket, with Gonzalo Bienzobas being the lone player to find a win over Vishnu Rajam of Rice, 6-7, 7-6, 1-0. Bienzobas will play in the consolation round of 16 against Texas Tech's Michael Breler tomorrow at 8:30 a.m.
The Mavs are set to closeout their fall schedule at the Texas Invitational, Nov. 2-4 in Austin.
