FT.WORTH, Texas - In its final non-conference match-up of the season UT Arlington fell 97-42 at TCU on Friday.
Sophomore LaTosha Duffey led the Mavs (5-6) with nine points, while Meghan Nelson and Shalyn Martin added six rebounds on the night. Adrianne Ross led the Horned Frogs (7-7) with 18 points.
The Horned Frogs jumped out to a 22-5 lead in the opening ten minutes of the game and never looked back. Leading 47-13 at the half, TCU held UTA to its lowest first half points of the season.
UTA did win the battle of the boards, out rebounding TCU 42-to-41.
The Mavericks will look to rebound as they open Southland Conference action on Thursday against Central Arkansas. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at Texas Hall.
