2010 Bobby Lane Invitational Heat Sheets (updated 1pm - March 26) 
Arlington, Texas - Over 1,000 athletes will descend on the campus of UT Arlington this weekend for the annual Bobby Lane Invitational which takes place Friday and Saturday (March 26 and 27) at Maverick Stadium.
The event begins Friday March, 26 with the high school portion of the meet and the university division hammer throw at 3 p.m. which will take place at SMU.
Saturday's full day of events begins at 9 a.m. with various field events. Running events start at 1 p.m. with the last event, the 4x400 relays scheduled for 7:15.
Last year the meet took on a golden feel as Jeremy Wariner ran in the meet as well as other United States Olympians.
This year will be no different as Dariv "Doc" Patton is scheduled to run. He has twice been on gold medal winning relay teams for the United States and was in the finals for of the 100 meters at the Beijing Games. He also won a silver medal at the Athens Games in the 4x100 relay for the U.S.
"There are going to be many great athletes on display," UTA head coach John Sauerhage said. "It's a great opportunity for track and field fans to come out and see some of the best in the nation and former Olympians run."
Besides the host Mavericks, the field in the university portion of the meet feature teams from TCU, SMU, Oklahoma, Tulsa, North Texas, Tarleton State, Iowa State, Wichita State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, Oral Roberts, Northwestern State, McNeese State and Oklahoma City University.
The meet will also serve as preview for the 2010 Southland Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships which UTA will host from May 14-16.
UTA All-Americans Cordero Gray and Jasmine Walls will be in all of the sprints while Adolphus Jones will look to continue his rise thru the ranks in the multi-events.
Tickets for the meet are available on Friday and Saturday at the south entrance to Maverick Stadium. They are $5 for adults and $2 for children. The meet is free for UTA students and pre-school age children. The stadium is located off of Mitchell Street between Fielder and Davis in Arlington.
