AUSTIN, Tex. - Cordero Gray finished fourth in the 100m dash, clocking a 10.24 to headline UT Arlington's final day at Texas Relays.
Gray competed in several of the region's best during the meet and proclaimed that he is ready to compete for an All-America spot in the 100m later this season. He ran a 10.18 during the preliminary heat.
Gray was also part of the men's 4x100m relay team that finished eighth in the final heat on Saturday. The team of Gray, Lionel Mungwari, Andrew Pettis and Clayton Vaughn recorded a time of 40.03 - 0.05 seconds off the team's season-best time.
The women's biggest highlight came from the distance medley relay team of Lindsey Putman, DeAndrea Smith, Esther Abuto and Amanda McMahon. That team finished third with a time of 11:48.37.
UT Arlington competes again next weekend at the Mount Sac Invitational.
