Daiana Negreanu continues tournament action on WTA Tour

Arlington, Texas - After wrapping up her first professional tennis tournament, former women's tennis standout Daiana Negreanu's success continues on the court as she competes at the Women's Hospital Classic in Evansville, IN.
Negreanu closed out her first tournament in Atlanta, GA with a 4-1 singles record. After winning four straight, the former SLC Player of the Year suffered a 3-6, 6-1, and 6-2 loss to Angelina Gabueva in the singles main draw.
Now playing at the Women's Hospital Classic, Negreanu has recorded three straight victories and advances to the singles main draw which is set to begin tomorrow morning.
The Alexandria, Romania native opened the tournament with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Jeanette Draeger and followed with a 6-3, 6-1 victory against Nyla Beenk. Negreanu advanced to the singles main draw after winning a hard fought 3-6, 6-1 and 6-4 decision over Brynn Boren.
