NEW ORLEANS, La. - Lionel Mungwari and Ivan Storic were both named 2011 Division I Track & Field All-Academic Honorees, the United States Track & Field & Cross Country Coaches Association announced Wednesday.

Both athletes qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Preliminaries. Mungwari advanced in the long jump, 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay. Storic advanced through the preliminaries in the javelin to compete in the NCAA Outdoor Championships. He finished 19th in the nation in the event.

Mungwari and Storic were both strong in the classroom this year. Mungwari, a rising junior, earned a 3.46 GPA. Storic, also a rising junior, earned a 3.25 GPA.
