MT: Mavs fall to SMU 4-3

DALLAS, Texas - The UT Arlington men's tennis team fell to the SMU Mustangs 4-3 Wednesday night in Dallas.

Mindaugas Celedinas and Soren Goritzka played a tough doubles set at the No. 1 position defeating their SMU opponent 8-6. Despite the win at the No. 1 spot, the Mavericks lost the doubles points and went into singles pay trailing 1-0.

Senior David Subirats played an excellent match at the No. 5 singles position as he defeated SMU's Robert Sajovich 6-1, 6-2.

The men fall to 6-11 after the close lost against the Mustangs. UT Arlington heads to San Antonio to face UTSA Friday at 3 p.m.
