ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington women's tennis team heads to Denton this weekend to take on area rivals at the Metroplex Mania.
The end of the fall season tournament is a competition between the Mavericks, UNT, SMU, Collin County JC, Tyler JC and TCU.
"It is a fun deal where we can get together and have a gathering of the teams," UT Arlington coach Diego Benitez said. "There is solid competition there between the teams. It will be more of a regular format with two matches each day and each day against a different school."
The Mavericks found success during the course of the fall season. Angeles de los Rios claimed a consolation draw win at the ITA Regional Tournament held at TCU on Oct. 22, while Giada D'ortona took first in the singles Draw F of the 2013 USTA BJK NTC Women's College Invitational in New York in October.
