THE GAME: Trip to No. 4 Kentucky is the second game in the Keightly Classic. UTA lost to Cleveland State on Friday, and will face Robert Morris (Thursday) and Eastern Michigan (Saturday) on the road this week.

RADIO: The Kentucky game will be aired on 970 AM. Jimmy Christopher is calling the action on the UTA Mavericks Radio Network.

LIVE VIDEO/STATS: Live video streaming and stats are available via UTAMavs.com.

SERIES: UT Arlington and Kentucky are meeting for the first time.

QUOTABLE: "I am really excited about the opportunity to play against Kentucky. They are one of the most storied programs in all of college basketball and probably have the biggest fan base, so it should be an awesome atmosphere for our guys. We are striving to become one of the premier basketball teams in the country, so our players need to get exposure playing against the very best. We have a couple of guys that have aspirations of playing professionally, so they will have the opportunity to showcase their skills against a team that is loaded with future NBA players." -- UT Arlington coach Scott Cross.

QUOTABLE II: "I am also looking forward to spending the week with my team. I really believe that we will grow and bond from this week together. As you may recall, in 2011-2012, we started our 16-game win streak after LaMarcus Reed hit the game winning shot against a Top 50 Kent State program in the Utah State tournament. I know that 16-game win streaks are very hard to duplicate, but we are definitely looking at using this tournament as a springboard for greater things in the future." -- Cross.

LAST TIME OUT: UT Arlington struggled from the floor for the first time this season, falling 83-73 to Cleveland State on Friday night at College Park Center. The Mavericks (2-2) came into the game averaging 95.3 points and shooting 50 percent from the floor. Against the Vikings, the UT Arlington shot a season-low 33 percent and failed to score at least 87 for the first time in four games. The Mavericks rallied in the second half, cutting a 19-point deficit to six (71-65) with 2:30 left. UT Arlington, however, could never get over the hump in dropping its first home game this season. Senior guard Reger Dowell had 23 of his 25 points in the second half. Senior forward Brandon Edwards scored a career-high 21 and pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds.

ALL REGER, ALL THE TIME: Dowell scored career-high 35 (tied for 20th in UTA history) vs. HPU and has scored at least 20 in all fourgames. Dowell is ninth nationally in scoring (26.0 ppg). He averaged 28.0 points on the three game homestand. The last UT Arlington player to score at least 30 was Marquez Haynes (32 points) on Feb. 6, 2010.

ONE TO BEAT: Scott Cross is second all-time in wins at UTA with 124. Eddie McCarter (162 from 1993-2006) is the leader. Cross passed Bob "Snake" LeGrande (122) on Nov. 12 vs. Samford.

TRIPLE DIGITS: UTA's 111 points vs. Howard Payne (11/13) were most since 124 vs. Sam Houston State (12/28/98) and tied for 18th all-time in school history.

SCORING BIG: UTA scored at least 87 in the first three games. The last time UTA had such a stretch was four in a row from Dec. 1-11, 1992: 91 (Concordia-Lutheran), 121 (Schreiner), 105 (Sul Ross State), 95 (Gonzaga).

GRABBING BOARDS: Edwards is 19th nationally in rebounding at 11.3 per game. He began season 17th on UTA's all-time rebounding list and is now up to 11th.

DOUBLE FIGURES: At least four Mavs scored double figures in three games this season: Boise State (4), Samford (5) and Howard Payne (4).

MAVERICK DEBUTS: Six players made their UTA debuts at Boise State: Dowell, G Lonnie McClanahan, Dillard, F Jorge Bilbao, Williams and G Courtney Austin.

NEW LINEUP: Four of the five starters at Boise State didn't play at UTA in 2012-13: Dowell, McClanahan, Dillard and C Stuart Lagerson, who redshirted last season.
