ARLINGTON, TEXAS -- The UT Arlington Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced today a partnership with KKGM (1630 AM) to broadcast its men’s basketball games starting with the 2013-14 season opener this Friday at Boise State.
KKGM will be the primary flagship station for all UTA men’s regular and post-season games. Each broadcast will include a 20-minute pre-game show and 25-minute post-game show around the game. The first broadcast starts at 8:40 p.m. (CST) this Friday.
“We are excited to be on KKGM this season,” Jim Baker, UTA’s Director of Intercollegiate Athletics said. “With the help of our marketing partner, Nelligan Sports Marketing, and the station, we look forward to bringing all the excitement of our games to our fans.”
KKGM is one of the Metroplex’s largest live sports radio stations as they broadcast a number of college teams. When there is a conflict with the station’s other agreements, the Mavericks will be aired on KKGM’s sister station, KHVN (970 AM).
Russell Scott and Doug Anderson return courtside to call the action on the UTA Mavericks Radio Network.
