Nov. 13, 2014 ARLINGTON, Texas - UTA Volleyball Alum Heather Dunn Woodman was named Maverick Club Athletic Alumni of the month. Woodman attended UT Arlington from 2001-2005 and was a four-year letter winner.
Some of Woodman's accomplishments as a Maverick include back-to-back Southland Conference Championships in 2001 and 2002. Woodman is also currently third in career assists.
Giving to the Maverick Club has allowed Woodman to stay connected to UTA Athletics.
"I loved my time at UTA as a student athlete and still enjoy coming around for events," she said. "I love that Diane Seymour keeps us all involved as alumni, and it is really awesome to stay connected to something that had such a major impact on our lives."
MC: What do you hope to see the Mavericks achieve in the next five years?
H: I would love to see them win another conference championship and get back to the NCAAs!
MC: We've recently launched the #iBleedBlue campaign. What does it mean to you to say "I Bleed Blue"?
H: To me, I bleed blue is just another way to show school pride in UTA and all it represents. It shows that the school is rich in tradition, academically and athletically, and is a great place to get a quality education.
