PLANO, Texas - UT Arlington Athletics' DFW Tour got underway Thursday in Plano, Texas, with an evening event downtown at Union Bear Brewing Co. Director of Athletics Jon Fagg, as well as women's basketball head coach Shereka Wright and additional members of the UTA staff were on hand to speak with and meet Maverick supporters from the Plano area. The DFW Tour is a set of free events across the Dallas-Fort Worth area for UTA alumni, fans, donors, faculty, staff and students designed to showcase the new era of college athletics and what it means for UTA. It's an opportunity to meet and greet UTA coaches and staff while also learning about the bold vision for the future of Maverick Athletics and an opportunity to network with fellow alumni, fans and supporters.

After a successful opening night, the DFW Tour continues with stop No. 2 on Thursday, Oct. 16, from 6-8 p.m. at the Press Cafe in Fort Worth.
