MORGANTON, N.C. - UT Arlington is 10th after Monday's first two rounds of the Donald Ross Intercollegiate at Mimosa Hills Country Club.
Josh Radcliff shot a team-best 5-over-par 145 to place 34th. Zach Galliford and Harrison Moore were both tied for 35th. The Mavericks were a combined 27 over.
Moore and Gunner Cash (T68) were competing in a team setting for the first time this season. Camilo Avila, playing as an individual and tied for 56th, was also making his debut.
"Tough day for the new guys," UTA coach Stuart Deane said. "They were real nervous and couldn't get settled. Looking forward to better and more settled day tomorrow."
UTA was tied for third in par-3 scoring (+9) and tied for sixth in par-5 scoring (-5). The Mavericks were 12th in pars with 99 and 11th in birdies with 19.
Jacksonville leads the 13-team field at even par, three shots clear of host Appalachian State. The final 18 holes are set for Tuesday.
