UPDATE: Camp Cancelled as of 1/10/16

ARLINGTON, Texas -- UT Arlington will host a Winter Baseball Camp on Jan. 14 and 15, featuring focus on pitching, catching and hitting, and hosted at Clay Gould Ballpark, it was announced by head coach Darin Thomas on Monday.

The camp will be held on Jan. 14 and 15, with the pitching and catching portion of the camp going from 9:30 a.m. CT to 12 pm on both days and the hitting camp running each day from 1-3:30 p.m. Price for each camp is $125, or players can attend both camps for $200.

UT Arlington's coaching staff will host the camps, with pitchers going through proper stretching and warm-up routines, long-toss throwing progression, a live evaluation bullpen and post-throwing arm maintenance. Catchers will go through the proper warm-up routine, working on receiving and blocking techniques, throwing, pop times, plays at the plate and a live evaluation in bullpens, in addition to a short hitting evaluation. The winter hitting camp will be focused on drills on proper swing mechanics and will include batting practice.

UT Arlington will open its 2017 season on Feb. 17 vs. Southeast Missouri State in Navogdoches, Texas, on the campus of Stephen F. Austin.
