• UTA improved to 3-3 on the season, heading into the team's 4 p.m. road game Saturday at Fordham (5-1).

• Mount St. Mary's dropped to 1-5 on the season. The Mountaineers return to action Saturday on the road at 25th ranked Michigan.

• For the second straight game, UTA's starting lineup consisted of forwards Jorge Bilbao and Kevin Hervey and guards Jalen Jones, Drew Charles and Erick Neal.

• Mount St. Mary's starting lineup consisted of Junior Robinson, Mawdo Sallah, Chris Wray, Greg Alexander and Elijah Long.

• UTA opened the game by going nearly four minutes without scoring (0-for-4). Mount St. Mary's jumped out to a 6-0 lead over the first 3:41 before Kevin Hervey cut the lead in half with a 3-pointer from the right wing.

• Junior guard Erick Neal set a career high with 2 blocks. He had both blocks within the first 12 minutes of the game.

• Neal also registered 4 steals in the game. His career-high is 5 against North Texas in 2015-16.

• UTA improved to 3-0 at home this season. The Mavericks have won 11 straight non-conference home games, dating back to the 2014-15 home opener against Buffalo.

• Senior guard Jalen Jones has scored in double figures in seven of his last eight games, including five of six this season.

• UTA registered 10 steals in the game, eclipsing double figures for the first time this season. The team recorded double figures in steals 8 times last season.

• Erick Neal registered 10 assists in the game to go with 13 points, his 5th career double-double.
