With its tight 80-77 win at Loyola Marymount last night, the UTA men's basketball team concluded its non-league season with a solid 10-3 record, equaling the most non-conference wins in the Scott Cross era.

The win over a much-improved LMU side (that could easily give traditional West Coast Conference leaders Gonzaga and Saint Mary's a battle), provided the Mavericks their sixth road victory of the season - the most in NCAA Division I this season.

The win also pushed UTA to a 10-3 record and moved the Mavs into 16th in the NCAA's official ratings percentage index - one of the key factors for consideration for an at-large invitation into the NCAA Tournament.
