ARLINGTON, Texas - The UTA men's basketball team returns to College Park Center Monday for its final non-conference home game of the season when it hosts UT Dallas.

Tickets to the 7 p.m. tipoff are available by visiting UTATickets.com or by calling the UTA Box Office during weekday business hours at (817) 272-9595. All youth ages 18 years and under will be admitted free of charge.

Links to a live video stream and live statistics for the game are available on UTAMavs.com. A live radio broadcast from UTA's Josh Sours will be available throughout the DFW Metroplex on KEXB 620 AM and online at TuneIn.com.

UTA enters Saturday's game with a 6-3 overall record and a 5-game win streak following a 77-61 victory Saturday at the University of North Texas. Junior forward Kevin Hervey registered his second straight double-double with team-highs of 21 points and 10 rebounds. For the second straight game, the Mavericks defense limited their opponent to under 40 percent shooting and a season-low 61 points.

Arlington native Hervey has moved into the team lead in scoring with an average of 13.6 points per game. The Sun Belt Preseason Player of the Year also averages a team-high 6.4 rebounds and is shooting .846 from the free throw line in just 24 minutes per game.

Senior guard Jalen Jones averages 13.3 points per game and has scored in double figures in nine of his last 10 games. He is also among the team leaders in field goal and 3-point percentage.

Guards Erick Neal and Drew Charles, along with forward Jorge Bilbao, round out the starting lineup for the Mavericks. Cross has fielded the same starting five in each of the team's last five games with junior guard Kaelon Wilson generally serving as the first player off the bench.

UT Dallas, from the American Southwest Conference, enters the contest with a 1-4 overall record. However, the Comets are coming off a convincing 90-68 league-opening victory over Ozarks on Wednesday. The Comets opened the season with a home loss to Trinity before dropping consecutive road contests at Guilford, William Peace and Concordia (TX).

Senior forward Kyle Coulter leads UTD in scoring with an average of 13.6 points per game. The Houston native is one of three Comets to start all five games this season. Junior guard Jon Hatcher, a Keller native, averages 13.2 points and is playing a team-high 32 minutes per game.

UTA returns to College Park Center on Saturday, Dec. 31 in its Sun Belt opener against league newcomer Coastal Carolina. Tickets are available by visiting UTATickets.com or calling the UTA Box Office during weekday business hours at (817) 272-9595.
