Postgame Notes

  • UTA improved to 7-3 on the season and has won six consecutive games. The Mavericks return to action Thursday night at 9 p.m. (CST) at 12th ranked Saint Mary's College (CA).
  • UT Dallas dropped to 1-5 on the season. The Comets return to action at home on Wednesday, Dec. 7 against Concordia Texas (7:30 p.m.).
  • UT Dallas' starting lineup consisted of forwards Reagan Keogh and Kyle Coulter and guards Jon Hatcher, Caleb Banks and Ben Smith.
  • Julian Harris was UTA's first substitute off the bench at the 15:00 mark of the first half.
  • Five of UTA's first six field goals (and 7 of the first 9) were from outside the 3-point arc. Four different players scored at least one 3-point field goal in the first 5 minutes of the game.
  • UTA's 53 first half points was the team's highest total in a half this season.
  • The Mavericks shot season-high 57.1 percent from beyond the 3-poiint arc in the first half, marking the sixth time UTA has surpassed 50 percent in a half this year and the fourth time in the first half of a game.
  • Erick Neal registered 15 points and 13 assists in the game, marking his second double-double of the season. He had 13 points with 10 rebounds against Mount St. Mary's.
  • Neal's 13 assists are a career-high. His previous best was 12 assists twice last season.
  • UTA's 23 assists against UT Dallas was the most in a single game this season and marked the first time the Mavericks surpassed 20 assists in a game since 24 against Troy on March 5, 2016.
