MOBILE, Ala. - The UTA men's basketball team plays its third-straight Sun Belt Conference road game Monday when it faces the University of South Alabama in the Mitchell Center.

Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. (CST). The game will be televised nationally by ESPN2 with Mark Neely and Kyle Macy calling the action. UTA fans are invited to watch the game live at Grease Monkey Burger Shop and Social Club, located in historic downtown Arlington. Food and drink specials will be available.

Links to complete live game coverage, including UTA-produced live audio and real-time in-game statistics, are available on UTAMavs.com. A live radio broadcast of the men's game at Troy will be available throughout the DFW Metroplex on KEXB 620 AM and via the popular TuneIn app on smartphones and tablets.

UTA enters Monday's game with a 12-5 overall record and a 2-2 mark in the Sun Belt after suffering a disappointing loss at Troy on Saturday. The Mavericks, playing without forwards Kevin Hervey and Julian Harris, weren't able to overcome a hot-shooting performance by Troy and a career-high 39-point performance from Trojan guard Wesley Person.

Hervey was a late scratch after suffering from soreness in his knee, while Harris remained in Arlington due to illness. Junior Erick Neal picked-up the scoring slack Saturday with a season-high 21 points at Troy.

South Alabama is 9-8 on the season and 2-2 against Sun Belt opponents following Saturday's 72-67 home victory over Texas State. Junior Shaq Calhoun set career-highs in scoring and 3-point field goals to lead the Jaguars to victory in their third overtime contest this season.

The Jaguars opened the season with five-straight wins, including an impressive road victory at UNLV. USA opened its Sun Belt schedule with a 1-point home win over in-state rival Troy before dropping consecutive road contests at Georgia State and Georgia Southern.

Six of South Alabama's games this season have been decided either in overtime or by three points or fewer. Each of its last four games falls into one of those two categories.

South Alabama has won eight of the 11 meetings between the two teams since the first meeting back in 1972. However, each team has protected its home court with three wins apiece since the Mavericks joined the Sun Belt three seasons ago.

UTA returns home on Saturday, Jan. 21 to host a Sun Belt contest against ULM. The Mavericks have seven home games remaining on their regular season schedule. Single game, group tickets and specially-priced multi-game packages are available by calling the UTA Box Office at (817) 272-9595 or by visiting UTATickets.com.
