Postgame Notes
- UTA falls to 16-6 on the season and 6-3 in the Sun Belt. The Mavericks return home Saturday for a 4:30 p.m. rivalry game against Texas State in College Park Center.
- Coastal Carolina improves to 10-12 on the season and 5-4 in the Sun Belt. The Chanticleers travel to Arkansas next weekend for games at Little Rock (Saturday) and Arkansas State (Monday).
- Coastal Carolina's starting lineup consisted of forwards Amidou Bamba and Demario Beck and guards Jaylen Shaw, Elihah Wilson and Colton Ray-St Cyr.
- UTA moved to 1-1 all-time against Coastal Carolina, 0-1 in Conway - tonight marked the Mavericks' first-ever visit to play the newest member of the Sun Belt Conference.
- Kaelon Wilson was UTA's first substitute off the bench at the 17:37 mark of the first half.
- Senior forward Jorge Bilbao registered 13 rebounds at Appalachian State, giving him 568 in his career. He surpassed Donny Beachum (560, 2000-04) for 14th on the school's list for career rebounds.
- Bilbao has posted double figures in rebounding in four of his last five games. Over the last five games he has 60 rebounds for an average of 12.0 per game.
- Hervey scored 23 points in today's game at Coastal Carolina. He has scored in double-figures in 15-straight appearances (He missed the Troy game) and 18 times this season. He surpassed 20 points for the seventh time this season and the sixth time in his last seven appearances.
- Junior forward Kevin Hervey scored 23 points to go with 12 rebounds at Coastal Carolina. The Arlington native posted his eighth double-double of the season and the 16th of his career. It was his second-straight double-double after scoring 22 points with 13 rebounds at Appalachia State.
