ARLINGTON – As part of UT Arlington's Meet The Mavs basketball tip-off event on Thursday, Oct. 25, the Department of Athletics will be giving Maverick fans a terrific opportunity to wear the gear the Mavs wear with extremely-discounted merchandise available as part of a 'garage sale.'
 
Precipitated by the department's switch in merchandise provider to Under Armour this summer, more than 1,000 items will be available for purchase from each of UTA's teams, including jerseys, sweatpants, shorts, polos, t-shirts, long-sleeves and much more.
 
If that's not enough to excite fans, below is the price point of each piece of merchandise:
 
$2: Shorts, Sweatpants
$3: Long-Sleeved Shirts, Track Pinnies
$5: Polos, Track Uniforms
$5: Jim Baker Special: 2 T-Shirts For $5
$10: Jackets & Hoodies, Shoes
$20: Jerseys
 
All proceeds will go to support UTA's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). The garage sale will take in the College Park Center as part of the department's Meet The Mavs event on Mortitz Plaza right outside the CPC beginning at 7 p.m.
 
The pep-rally-themed event is free to attend, and fans will have the opportunity to mingle and shoot around with both basketball teams. Downtown Arlington will provide free t-shirts at the event, and kids can enjoy the bounce house and pop-a-shot inflatables. All fans are encouraged to come early to enjoy free food and drinks provided by In 'N' Out; free popcorn and cotton candy will also be available throughout the evening.
