ARLINGTON, Texas - UTA softball coach
Peejay Brun added to her staff for the 2019 season with the naming of
Megan Low as the program's new Volunteer Assistant Coach.
Low served as the head coach of the Ranger College softball program since 2017. Low was a Graduate Student Manager for Texas A&M from August of 2015 through June 2017.
"Megan will be another great addition to our staff," Brun said. "She comes to us from under the tutelage of Jo Evans. I like her love for our sport and her hunger to grow as a coach and mentor to younger players."
The Mavericks announced the addition of assistant coach
Bobby Buchanan earlier in the summer, and are prepping for an exciting 2019 campaign that will feature the return of both NFCA All-Region selections as the team is coming off an appearance in the National Invitational Softball Championship finals.
"I am very excited to become a part of the Maverick family," Low said. "I want to thank coach Brun for providing me with the opportunity to learn from her and her staff and grow underneath their leadership. I look forward to helping the UTA softball program continue to climb in the ranks of the Sun Belt Conference."
Information about the 2019 Softball slate will be available later in the fall, with an exciting schedule of fall exhibition games being available soon as well. Follow the Mavericks on Twitter, @UTASoftball, to keep up to date about action from Allan Saxe Field.
